Note to parents
We would like to invite you to join us at our annual Babies and Children’s Memorial service, which will take place on Sunday 14th December at 11.30am.
During this service, which offers a space to people of all beliefs and none, we will honour the babies and children who have died too soon. We will say their names, light candles, listen to music and share poems and readings. After the service in the chapel you may join us in the Children’s Memorial Garden.
We would very much appreciate your ideas for the service and your participation. Do you have a piece of music you’d like to hear? A reading or poem that you wish to include, or read out yourself? Perhaps you play an instrument, or would like to sing a song? Or other suggestions for symbolic rituals?
Please let Natasha know as soon as you can, and the latest by 27th November 2025, so she can include your suggestions in the programme.
Following a suggestion from families, you are welcome to warm up in the waiting room after being to the garden. Families kindly offered to bring a small plate of food e.g a cake, few canapes, crisps for everyone to share in the waiting room after the service. If you are able to bring a small plate, or a cake, that would be much appreciated but please do not think you must.
For those unable to attend you can watch the service online
